Non-Competitive Hill Climb
Thank you for entering the Jeremy Holden Bromyard Hill Climb.
PLEASE ARRIVE FROM 0730 – 08:30 TO SECURE YOUR PADDOCK SPACE.
The paddock is accessed via B4203 Church Street, Bromyard HR7 4HP.
There are Drivers’ Briefing notes attached. These are important and should be read before you attend the event and on the day prior to your hill climb run.
Please read these instructions carefully to ensure you get the most from your day. This is not a motorsport event, and you will be driving on the public road. Please check your own insurance cover.
In case your vehicle needs to be towed, please fit your towing eyes at front and rear, or mark a suitably strong towing point with yellow tape.
TO GAIN ENTRY ON THE DAY
Please place your Competitors Colour Coded Pass where it can be clearly seen from the front of your vehicle. This will enable you to enter the Entrant access lane of the Festival Site.
Access to the Entrant Paddock and the Festival Site itself is via B4203 Church Street, Bromyard HR7 4HP. There will be a barriered entrance and a steward will ask to see your Entrant Ticket / Additional Passenger Ticket that you purchased via Eventbrite. This can be printed out or displayed from your phone.
The Entrant Ticket provides access to the site for the Driver and ONE Passenger. If there are additional passengers, who do not have a pre-paid Additional Passenger Ticket they will need to purchase a ‘Spectator Wristband’ from the Ticket Office. Wristbands will be checked by authorised personnel throughout the day.
You will then be directed to your area of the paddock which will be colour coded via large, coloured squares on top of poles to match your Competitors Colour Coded Pass
You can park anywhere within your coloured area but please do so sensibly because there will be approximately 25 other vehicles in each area.
SIGNING-IN
After parking, please proceed to the large marquee to sign-in. Drivers and all passengers taking part in the non-competitive Hill Climb will need to sign-in.
At the signing-in desk you will have the opportunity to read the Drivers’ Briefing notes again.
You will be given a wristband signifying that you are a driver, a programme and an entrant number.
Please attach the number to the front of your vehicle so that it is easily visible to marshals.
Running Order or the Day
The event will start at 0930 and we will run vehicles continuously until lunchtime and then commence runs again after lunch.
There will be two or three vehicles on the hill at any one time.
Bromyard Speed Festival CIC hope that you and your companions have an enjoyable day.
JEREMY HOLDEN BROMYARD HILL CLIMB 27TH JULY 2025
DRIVERS’ & RIDERS’ BRIEFING NOTES
These notes are important and have been produced for the safety of yourself and others
Running order for the day
We will start at 0930 and run vehicles continuously until lunchtime, and then commence the runs again after lunch.
There will be two or three vehicles on the hill at any one time.
Passengers may be carried, but only within the designated seats in your vehicle. Motorcycle riders and passengers must wear helmets.
Please ensure that you have displayed your number prominently on the front of your car so that marshals can call you up in the correct order.
When called by a marshal, please proceed to the paddock exit (not the way you came in) and then onto the road.
You will be lined up on the road leading to the start and will then be called to the startline by another marshal.
You will be held by the marshal until the previous vehicle is partway up the hill, then you will be released.
Please note that there will be no spinning of wheels on approach to the startline.
You should note that although the road is closed to other traffic, the national speed limits remain, so you need to respect them.
There will be chicanes on the road to add to your enjoyment !
You may also see cones in the road – they are there to cover potholes.
Red or Yellow Flag
In the unlikely event of the vehicle already on the hill having an incident, you will be shown a red or a yellow flag.
Red Flag – slow down and stop at the next marshal post, where you will be given instructions.
You may be told to continue slowly past the incident, or you may be turned round to drive back to the start.
Yellow Flag – slow down and continue to the next marshal post, where you will be waved past the incident.
In that event, continue SLOWLY up the hill.
In either of these scenarios, be aware that there may be emergency vehicles on the hill.
After you have completed your Climb, continue to the junction with the Downs road and please obey stewards’ instructions because you will then merge with normal traffic.
The Downs road is narrow, so beware of other road users.
This road will take you to the A44, where you will turn right heading for Bromyard.
When you reach Bromyard, take the first right towards the town centre.
We would encourage you to follow the signs round the one-way system back to the paddock, so that locals can be impressed with your vehicle.
