Volunteers Required for Bromyard Speed Festival
The first Bromyard Speed Festival took place on 3rd April 2016 and was enjoyed by some 5000 spectators, participants, trade stand holders, sponsors and more.
This was repeated in April 2017 and was even more successful with as many as 10,000 visitors to Bromyard enjoying a memorable day. And plenty of sunshine too!
Without the generosity of the many volunteers who gave their time to support the festivals it couldn’t have taken place and certainly wouldn’t have been the great event it was.
Some of these volunteers started in the early hours of that morning putting up street barriers, others helping spectators, selling programmes, manning car parks and more. Some had been planning, organising and preparing for up to four years before the event.
I can’t even start to name everyone but you know who you are and the event directors, committee members and indeed the whole town thank you for providing the happiest days Bromyard has known in living memory.
The street events of 2016 and 2017 will be repeated in 2019 and thereafter at 2 year intervals.
But don’t think 2018 is going to be a barren year. In fact we have not one but two events! On 7th April 2018 we will be holding the Bringsty Grand Prix a classic motocross event on farmland adjoining Bringsty Common. We will need help with stewarding and parking for this.
On the 8th April it will be “Bromyard Speed Festival On Tour” at Shelsley Walsh. We will need help with stewarding and parking here too and possibly some construction help with trade stands and such like.
If you’d like to be involved please register your interest using the form below, telling us which event you want to be involved in.
Bear with us if we don’t respond straight away as we won’t really get going on many aspects till the New Year but we need to have an idea of who we can call on as soon as possible.
NB: Volunteers are protected by the festival’s insurance policies – see more detail here.
