Bromyard is a very special place! As well as being the only Bromyard on the planet it has a unique mix of contrasting qualities. Surrounded by beautiful countryside it has a high street that features almost exclusively privately owned shops yet has a range of high tech manufacturing companies at its edges. It is tranquil, busy, laid back and energetic.
Already home to an array of festivals it is no surprise that it is welcoming Bromyard Speed Festival as a newcomer and is unfazed by the organisation required to make it a success. Food, accommodation, parking requirements are a stroll to a town welcoming folkies, rock music fans, scarecrows, town criers, hop sack racers and steam engine drivers.
Bromyard is often called the “Town of Festivals” and also the “Jewel in the Downs” and is popular with visitors from the West Midlands and further afield. So if you are attending our Speed Festival why not tag a couple of days either side and enjoy what Bromyard has to offer.
We have a volunteer-led Tourist Information Centre in the centre of town who can help point you towards accommodation, places to eat, things to do and much more. You can find the TIC at The Heritage Centre in Rowberry Street in the centre of town, next to the Long Term Car Park.
There is also Visit Bromyard, a website with details of many of the town’s B&Bs, hotels, cafes, pubs, restaurants and much more. And you can find out what’s going on by taking a look at our community website, Bromyard.Info.
There is also a town guide here.
